Newtown, Pennsylvania, resident, Portia Murphy, plays the orphan "Pepper" in all weekend performances of the musical ANNIE at the Walnut Street Theatre. Portia returns to the Walnut after playing Marybeth in "A Christmas Story" in 2015.

Portia was performing in two shows from August 27th to January 1st. She just returned and began her voice lessons again with Badiene Magaziner of Magaziner Vocal Studio in New York City. Badiene was thrilled with the results!
