Congratulations to Portia for being cast in the role of “Pepper” in Annie at the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia. For Portia’s 10th birthday, we took her to NYC to see Annie on Broadway, her first Broadway show. This show made Portia want to pursue musical theatre. “I can do that,” she told us, and the next month we enrolled her in a homeschool program so that she would have the flexibility needed for this profession. Portia was also quick to notice that the character Annie in the show shares her birthday of October 28th!
Portia will be playing in 38 shows including all weekends and some matinees.
The musical runs from November 11th to January 7th.
